The Ilex AQ Aurea Margin (Cone) is an evergreen ornamental plant that can survive in various conditions and thus can fit in many types of landscapes. This particular plant can tolerate normal, clay, or chalk soils, thrives in both full sunshine and partial shade, and stands inland or exposed areas thus an ideal selection for landscapes undergoing varying weather patterns. On average this shrub grows at a rate of 20-40cm per annum and can be maintained between 1 to 4 meters tall allowing one room for creativity in landscaping.
One of its interesting characteristics is the new bright red young leaves which are very well differentiated from the dense green and shiny leaves of this evergreen plant.
